In grauer Vorzeit rodeten die ersten Siedler von Neuheim Wälder, um Höfe zu bauen. Als das Land knapp wurde, wandten sie sich enttäuscht an den Teufel, der Hügel aufwarf, um das Land zu vergrößern, was sich jedoch als mühsam erwies. Aus Rache pflanzten sie Kreuze und Linden auf die Hügel, und unsere Teesorte «Rache des Teufels» spiegelt den Geschmack von Lindenblüten wider.
